Ankur Sharma Co- Founder, Rebel Foods

Ankur Sharma is a Co-founder at Rebel Foods, currently leading a few important business verticals (SCM, People, and Product Innovation). In addition to his core responsibilities, he also oversees Rebel’s ecosystem-led program focused on onboarding and scaling third-party (3P) brands through hosting, strategic investments, and franchising.
During the pandemic, Ankur transitioned from leading NPD, Procurement, and Supply Chain to building Rebel Launcher from the ground up - a platform designed to on board and scale customer-first food brands using Rebel OS. Under his leadership, the initiative scaled from zero to over 400 internet restaurants across 30 partner brands within 12 months, reaching a $20 million ARR by December 2021. The program enabled Rebel to partner with and invest in several leading brands, reinforcing a platform-led, customer-first growth model.
As part of this journey, Rebel Foods partnered with renowned brands such as Wendy’s, Mad Over Donuts, Naturals Ice Cream, and Baskin Robbins, and invested in SLAY Coffee, Biryani Blues, Zomoz, and SMOOR. Ankur also played a pivotal role in bringing Wendy’s to India as part of this initiative.
Across his tenure at Rebel, Ankur has been instrumental in building scalable systems, governance frameworks, and cross-functional teams, with a strong belief that technology enables scale while culture sustains it. His work centres on translating Rebel’s core values into everyday practices, enabling teams to operate with consistency, ownership, and agility as the organisation scales across markets and geographies.
A graduate of Punjab Engineering College and IIM Indore, Ankur has worked closely with multiple brand partners to build scalable, customer-centric solutions at Rebel Foods.
Prior to joining Rebel in 2012, he worked on key initiatives at Infosys and Tata Motors.
