He is a Graduate in Chemistry from the University of Mumbai and also holds PGDBM from the same University. He has well over four decades of experience working with some of the Blue Chip Companies in India across Advertising, FMCG, Consumer Durables, & Retail, starting with pan India Sales Promotion responsibilities and rising to the level of a CEO with India's premier retail organization, Reliance Retail.
Sudhir Pai has had very successful stints in companies like Godfrey Philips India-PMI associate, ISPL (Gillette), Titan watches Ltd, Blow Plast limited, Hindustan Unilever, Shoppers Stop and Reliance Industries - Retail business heading Sales & Marketing and SBUs Pan India.
Sudhir Pai has made a significant contribution to the Retail Might of Titan Watches, after some Path breaking & Trend setting stints in Sales Promotion nationally and setting new highs for Godfrey Philips and Gillette in India.
He set up the Retail Business for Blow Plast (VIP Luggage) and successfully started the retail chain of the VIP Lounge & the VIP World, a practice that has led to a glorious revival of VIP in the market place. Sudhir Pai was hand-picked by the CMD of HLL (Hindustan Unilever) to lead its thrust into the services industry, launching the Lakme Beauty Salons and establishing a Franchised Network pan India starting from scratch he set up about 80 Salons nationally.
He led forays into Business development & New Initiatives, associated at Shoppers Stop with the launch of MAC (from Estée Lauder) and, signing a JV with Mothercare of U.K. amongst others. He was also associated with the Videocon Group, heading their Retail Operations for Next, Digiworld and Planet M.
