Mr. Ambareesh Murty launched Pepperfry.com on 3rd January 2012, and in less than a year, made it India's No. 1 online furniture, home and living marketplace. Today, Pepperfry has a 150+ member team and multi-city operations.
Pior to starting Pepperfry, Mr. Murthy was the Country Manager of eBay India, Philippines and Malaysia, where he step jumped eBay's growth in India and built a profitable business by tailoring products and processes to local requirements and delivering a superior customer experience. During his tenure at eBay, he also served as the Vice Chairman of the Internet & Mobile Association of India(IAMAI).
Ambareesh Murty holds a B.E. degree from the Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. In his free time, he closely follows FC Barcelona, loves to read and collects Zippo lighters and memorabilia from Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.
