Jacqueline Kapur is a German-born Indian resident, business entrepreneur and chief executive officer of Ayesha Fashions (AFPL) -- India’s largest fashion accessories brand. She moved to Auroville, India 27 years ago and developed the Hidesign brand with her late husband Dilip Kapur. In 2000, she started the first multi-brand department store Casablanca in India and also co-founded 2 hotels Le Dupleix and The Promenade in Pondicherry.

Jacqueline is an avid equestrian and manages her Auroville venture - Red Earth Riding School (RERS), which is spread across 20 acres and is home to over 30 horses and ponies. She has studied Japanese literature at the University of Bochum, Germany and earned a one-year scholarship to Tokyo. She has two children and resides at Pondicherry.

Jacqueline is also passionate about fashion retail. Fashion retail is a fast-changing industry and her insights into trend-spotting, customer behaviour and their choices has elevated AFPL into India’s largest fashion jewellery brand with over 70 locations in 23 cities.
